#260 Rest In Peace Ross Bay Cemetery has the oldest surviving formal landscape design in BC and is a superb example of a Victorian-era burial ground. If interested, you can see another area of the cemetery with pics taken last Fall on my other blog HERE

#197 NeglectedThe Brico, a vessel once responsible for laying cable along the BC Coast, was dragged ashore near Fanny Bay (on Baynes Sound on the East Coast of Vancouver Island) and operated as a restaurant for a period of time before becoming a roadside landmark. Not sure how long she's been resting there, but it's been a few decades and she's definitely not as bright and shiny as she once was.

#175 LogsI don't recall the age of this tree, so if you want to start
counting rings you can! *grin* I've requested the info
via email so I'll post that once my friend gets back to me.
This is just one log (taken in Gold River)...so for this post
to technically fit the theme, I'm including another photo
of a log cabin which was taken over on Pender Island.

#324 There's No Place Like HomeLooking down into the village of Gold River, my hometown. This small community is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of Vancouver Island. It became world-famous via media coverage in 2001 with the arrival of Luna the Killer Whale, who sadly passed in 2006.

#119 GatheringsThe annual Bayview Residences Victoria Symphony Splash is a spectacular event that sees Victoria's beautiful Inner Harbour transformed into an outdoor concert stage. My photos cannot convey what it really looks like with over 40,000 people in attendance filling the Inner Harbour, but this last photograph (pic for print from their website found HERE does!) I have also posted more pictures on my primary blog HERE if you're interested in seeing more.
