A record 12,492 runners took part in the Royal Victoria Marathon yesterday and the weather cooperated! Participation was up 25% from last year, and close to 2000 runners had to be turned away...next year should be even bigger! The winner: Hillary Cheruiyot, from Kenya, crossed the finish line first with a time of 2:19:24
