The Car-Stop program on North and South Pender Islands is a hit with locals and tourists since it began officially last year---unofficially it's been happening for years around many of the Gulf Islands. There are now designated spots where one can wait to indicate that they are in need of a ride to various destinations around the Islands. Snapped this picture while we were out walking the country roads this past weekend, but we could have had a ride if we really wanted (or needed) one! *grin*

That is a great idea but watch it if Tammy pulls up - She is normally on her way to some winery or the other. LOL. Great way to spread that idea.
