This hawk met an early demise when he crashed into the windshield of my brother's truck late one night years ago...he now lives on thanks to a talented taxidermist!

What a way to go, but what a great looking bird!
You did a marvelous job of capturing all of his (previous) glory. Nice shot.
It was--and is--a beautiful bird.
Very sad way to end it all but at least he lives on as you pointed out. Beautiful lighting to capture his majestic pose.
Sad story - he's beautiful! Wonderful taxidermy job, though!
